Olympic Torch Relay Day in front of Enniskillen Castle

Fermanagh welcomes the Olympic Torch with an Outdoor Family Fun Day in front of Enniskillen Castle on Tuesday, 5 June 2012.
The Olympic Torch Relay Day event will take place from 11.00am to 2.00pm.
It will consist of family fun with lots of free children's activities including:
Dancing displays
Bouncy castles
Face painting & Balloon modelling
Music performances
A Junior Olympic Games on the Broadmeadow
You will be able to view the Olympic Torch for a 10 minute period between 12.00 noon and 1.00pm. (It has been programmed to be on public view between 12.20pm and 12.30pm but these times are approximately and subject to change.)
Admission is free and all are welcome.
The journey through Fermanagh is part of the Torch’s 8,000 mile journey around the UK on its way to the Olympic Stadium. On the 27 July 2012, the Olympic Torch will be used to light the Olympic Cauldron at the Opening Ceremony.

The Torch Bearers attended a Chairman’s Reception in the Townhall to mark this once in a lifetime opportunity. They were chosen for their service to the community or as ambassadors for youth and sport.
