Quit & Get Fit!

Stopping smoking is the single most positive choice you can make for your health.  Couple this with regular exercise and you’re well on your way to making the most positive life change ever!


The staff at Lakeland Forum are teaming up with a trained Smoking Cessation Specialist and are seeking 20 participants who have a desire to stop smoking to partake in an exciting, new, 8 week FREE programme  “Quit & Get Fit”.  Our specialist team will take participants through the stages of stopping smoking, including preparing to stop, actually stopping and staying stopped. They will speak to each individual, offering expert advice on exercise, it’s benefits and provide a personalised programme  aimed at helping the individual stay focused on their goal towards improved health and fitness.
 
The eight week programme will be tailored to meet the needs of the smoker, motivating and supporting at all stages of quitting. The programme will provide:

  •     Preparation on how to stop
  •     Setting a quit date
  •     Advice and guidance on Nicotine Replacement Therapies
  •     Regular carbon monoxide testing
  •     Help in coping with withdrawal symptoms
  •     A FREE induction to the Gym
  •     A full, personalised exercise & weight management programme
  •     A FREE 8 weeks Gym Membership
