Management and Leadership Development Programmes

The Department for Employment and Learning (DEL) is committed to providing a foundation for enhanced Management and Leadership skills in Northern Ireland.  It is recognised that this can be a key factor in improved productivity and success in the global business environment.

The 2010 Management and Leadership Development Initiative offers a comprehensive portfolio of programmes.

FGS McClure Watters delivers three programmes approved* by DEL including:

Senior Manager / Director Management and Leadership Development

Middle Management Initiative

Balanced Scorecard for Business Planning.

 (* All programmes have been approved by DEL, and attract up to 100% financial bursary assistance towards the costs of training until December 2010.  Conditions apply, please contact FGS McClure Watters for more details on eligibility for bursary funding.)

Programmes:
FGS McClure Watters offers three management and leadership development programmes, all of which are designed to be commercially focused. The programmes offer practical knowledge and skill solutions, supplemented with toolkits and mentoring support, that ensure participants can apply their learning to real life work issues.  All participants can apply to receive up to 100% bursary support funding from DEL (conditions apply), which is currently available until the end of 2010.

Senior Manager / Director Management and Leadership Development Programme
This two-day programme targets owner / managers and aims to enhance management and leadership ability. The programme examines leadership challenges; aligning leadership and business strategy; situational leadership; motivating staff; performance management; developing others and change management. Additional development is provided through
personal profiling and mentoring support.
Cost: £756+VAT

Middle Management initiative
This five-day programme focuses upon middle managers’ personal development, leadership capability, performance, customer and market awareness. This programme also offers mentoring support.
Cost: £993+VAT

Balanced Scorecard for Business Planning
This two-day workshop covers the structure, process and challenges of building, implementing and using a Balanced Business Scorecard to improve organisational performance. It works to equip participants with the knowledge and know-how to ensure they put strategy at the centre of key
management processes and systems including incentive schemes and resource/budget planning activities.
