Refuse Collection Arrangements Over the Festive Period

Christmas Holidays 2009 and New Year 2010 Refuse Collection Arrangements

There will be no refuse collection service on the following days:
Thursday 24th or Friday 25th December 2009 inclusive.

Normal service resumes on Monday 28th December. Services will be provided on Friday 1st January 2010.

The Public are asked to assist as follows:

Those on Blue Bin Collection:

• During the holiday period and because there is no collection on 24th and 25th December, please fill your blue bin to capacity and present for collection on your collection day 7th or 8th January.  Any surplus blue bin waste placed in Cardboard Boxes on these dates shall also be collected.  Remember No Plastic Bags
• Householders should note that flattened boxes and bottles with loosened lids placed in bins will take up less space
• Please assist collectors by placing bins “Handles Out”.

Trade Bin Collections

• As in past years, please fill your bin to capacity and present for collection on your next normal collection day 31st December or 1st January.  Any surplus trade bin waste placed in secure bags shall also be reloaded, weighed and collected
• Similarly cardboard collection will be provided on these dates and all additional cardboard ‘flattened’ and tied in bundles shall also be collected.

Drummee Integrated Waste Management Facility
The site will remain open until 12.30 p.m. Thursday 24th December and re-open at 9.00 on Monday 28th December. It will also be open Friday 1st January 2010.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused but would advise that normal service is provided on all other Public holidays throughout the year.
