Rural Champion

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development would like to notify you of a series of presentations in conjunction with the ongoing public consultation on the Rural Champion concept and the enhancement of the rural proofing process.  The key objectives of the Rural Champion are to provide for a joined up approach across government to rural policy, to ensure robust application of the rural proofing process, to promote equitable access to services by rural communities and to develop an evidence base to assist all decision making in the rural context. 

The local event will be held in the CAFRE, Levaghy, Enniskillen on Wednesday 24 September 2008 at 7.15pm.  The consultation paper can be viewed at
