| Cooling Towers
Under the Cooling Towers and Evaporative Condensers Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1994, if you control non-domestic premises you must ensure that you notify the District Council of any Cooling Tower or Evaporative Condenser (notifiable devices) on the premises.
You must also notify the Council of any changes to notification information within one month of the change.
If the device ceases to be a notifiable device you must notify the Council as soon as possible.
Fee
There is no fee for this notification.

Will Tacit Consent Apply
Yes. The applicant will receive an acknowledgement of receipt of the notification within 10 working days and the details will be added to a Cooling Tower Register.

Complaints
In the event of a complaint the first contact should be made with the District Council. Alternatively, in the UK Citizens advice bureau will give you advice. From outside the UK contact the UK European Consumer Centre.
Public Register
A register of Cooling Towers and Evaporative Condensers in the Fermanagh District Council area can be provided on request.

Under the Data Protection Act, Fermanagh District Council has a legal duty to protect any information we collect about you. It will not be disclosed to any third party unless law or regulation compel such disclosure or unless we have been specifically asked to do so in order to deliver a service which you have requested.
