Art Of Regneration Comes To A Close After 4 Years

In 2005 Diane Henshaw, The Arts Officer at The Council secured funding for just under half a million pounds from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland,  in partnership with The Share Centre in Lisnaskea, 40 community groups across Fermanagh & delivered a major arts in context outreach initiative in 5 major creative disciplines.

The programme to date has brought major economic development to the Arts Sector employing 2 Arts Co-ordinators over the course of the programme as well as over 26 artists within the following art forms: 

· Contemporary and Traditional Dance :  Artist:  Dylan Quinn
· Literature:  Artist: Seamas Mac Annaidh
· Carnival arts:  Artist:  Genevieve Murphy
· Environmental Arts and Sculpture :  
  Artists:  Jon Kelly, Holger Lonze, Helen Sharp
· Traditional Music:  Group:  Fermanagh Traditional Music Society

The Programme continue to leave a legacy in Fermanagh with newly constituted groups emerging out of the project:

· Together one Voice singing group
· Enniskillen Writers Group
· Visual Arts Fermanagh
· Fermanagh Arts Festivals aka Enniskillen Arts Festival

Artists who have been involved in the programme continue to develop their art form at a local and national level and are actively seeking funding and new partnerships through which they can develop their work within Fermanagh on an annual basis.  Details of activity in the County is available from the Arts Officer at Fermanagh District Council at:
