The Council has over 50 playgrounds throughout the district and is responsible for their inspection and maintenance.

One of the biggest and most comprehensive play areas is The Zone at the Lakeland Forum which has 2 soft play areas - suitable for toddlers and older children of 6-12 years adjacent to it.
