Glass has to be separated into the three colours (Green, Brown & Clear). If they were to be put in the Blue bin they would be mixed plus they would get broken in the lorries making it virtually impossible to separate the different colours of glass. Not only would the glass be contaminated but the glass would contaminate the other materials in the Blue Bin. Broken glass would end up trapped with other materials resulting in the recycling industry rejecting the material.

You can bring your bottles, jam jars, medicine bottles etc. to our many bottle bank sites.

The only bins that the council provide for paper collection are Blue bins which only accept card, cardboard and newspaper. All other paper can be accepted in paper banks, such as the recycling site at Drummee, near Enniskillen.

Some businesses use private companies to collect, shred and dispose of office paper. These can be located by visiting the Yellow Pages website on www.yell.co.uk
