Ardhowen Theatre launch new website

Friday, 20 April 2012

The Ardhowen Theatre has launched a new website with a host of new features to help patrons plan their theatre experience from the comfort of their own home or their smartphone.

The new website, www.ardhowentheatre.com, now enables theatre goers to log on and search for special offers for forthcoming shows, buy gift vouchers for family and friends and discover more about shows and performances coming to the theatre through a range of multi-media channels.

Other popular features include the online booking system which, in a few clicks, allows users to search for shows, choose their preferred seat, buy tickets safely and securely, and print their tickets at home.

Owned and managed by Fermanagh District Council, the Ardhowen Theatre is a multi-purpose venue nestled on the shores of Lough Erne on the outskirts of Enniskillen. The Theatre, which opened in 1986, offers a year round programme of professional, community based and amateur performances suitable for all ages and tastes with performances and shows ranging from drama, to classical music, opera, ballet, contemporary dance, jazz, country music, children’s events, traditional Irish music and dance, ethnic arts and lectures, charity events and school performances.

The venue, which includes a 290-seater raked auditorium, studio theatre, bar and restaurant with unrivalled views of Lough Erne, and an exhibition area, can also be booked for a range of events including conferences, launch events and meetings.

A summer events programme for the Ardhowen Theatre will be launched shortly which will include details about forthcoming shows and festivals including the Beckett Fesitval which runs from 23 - 27 August 2012. The programme will be available for download from the Theatre’s website or can be picked up from the Theatre or a number of outlets throughout Fermanagh and the rest of Ireland.
