Fermanagh Lakeland Forum

Reflections Fitness suite has reopened

The Reflections Gym at the Fermanagh Lakeland Forum reopened Wednesday 11th April 2012, after moving into its bright and airy new home.

As part of the ongoing development of the Lakeland Forum the popular gym has undergone a major facelift and is now more than double the size it used to be.

The gym now boasts 47 pieces of cardio equipment including the latest machines from market leader Techno-Gym, 22 fixed resistance machines and more than 11 free weights stations.

Techno-Gym equipment is the official brand of fitness equipment being used for the 2012 London Olympic Games and Reflections now boast a range of the most hi-tech walkers, cross-trainers and treadmills.

Those interested in working with free weights now have a much larger area to work in while the new gym also boasts a dedicated stretching and core work out area and its own exercise studio, which will be used for regular fitness classes including group cycle.

Manager of the Fermanagh Lakeland Forum, Emma McManus, says:

“The new gym is bright and airy and is overlooking the water. The windows all front onto the lake and the room makes the best of natural light and of the stunning location of the Lakeland Forum."

Ms McManus also said the gym meets the latest Inclusive Fitness Standard.

Membership for the gym remains at £30 per month with various membership options available, while casual users can still experience the best of Reflections Gym for just £4.50 a visit after being inducted.

“The completion of the work on our gym is a continuation of the ongoing development at the Fermanagh Lakeland Forum, which has been opened for 35 years," adds Ms McManus.

Members of the public are invited to an Open Weekend at Fermanagh Lakeland Forum where they can have a look around the new facilities and talk to fitness professionals, while the children can play for free on the bouncy castle, obstacle courses and sumo suits.

The Open Weekend takes place on 28 April from 10am to 5pm and 29 April from 2pm to 5pm.
