Fermanagh Tourist Information Centre voted best TIC in N Ireland

The Crystal Trophy Award was presented at a gala evening in the Slieve Donard Hotel, Newcastle, Co Down on Friday October 17.  More than 400 people, including industry leaders and decision-makers from the UK Travel and Tourism Industry attended the event.

Readers of the N Ireland Travel & Leisure News were given the opportunity to complete a coupon response in the paper and vote for the tourist office which, in their opinion, offered them the best service.  Three tourist offices were short-listed - Fermanagh, Belfast and Lisburn.  Fermanagh received the most votes.

Charlotte Wilson, Manager of the Fermanagh TIC, expressed her delight by saying "We are very pleased to receive this award which is a reflection of staff commitment and dedication to providing a high quality service to all our visitors'.

Mr William Swan, from the Erne Charter Boat Association congratulated the staff and added "This is a well-deserved award; the tourist information centre is both professional and pro-active in meeting the needs of the Industry'
